Borehamwood's rhythm is set by two things: the studios and the Thameslink line. Elstree Studios, BBC Elstree and the surrounding production facilities run on call times that don't care about rush hour, so a large share of our local work is 05:00 pickups for crew and talent, then wrap collections that can land anywhere between 19:00 and 02:00.
For residents, the practical question is usually the airport. From WD6 we reach Luton in roughly 30 minutes off-peak via the M1, and Heathrow in 45 to 60 via the M25 anticlockwise — with the J21A to J16 stretch being the section that decides whether you make it. We time collections against that, not against a flat estimate.
Elstree and Borehamwood station sits at the centre of a lot of short work: connections into St Pancras for Eurostar, and pickups for visitors coming out from London who'd rather not drive the Barnet Way. Radlett, Shenley, Bushey and Stanmore are all inside our standard local rate.

- Shenley Road parking is restricted during the day; we collect from the side roads off it instead
- Early Luton departures from WD6 avoid the M1 J6a merge if routed via the A1(M)
